Automatic Tool Change Stone Polishing Machine

The STONEX HLDM-1800F is an upgraded version of the HLDM-1800 developed for stone workshops that need automatic polishing-head exchange and greater processing flexibility.

Instead of limiting the machine to one polishing tool, the HLDM-1800F is equipped with an automatic polishing head exchange system and five polishing-head storage positions. This allows different polishing heads to be selected automatically during the processing sequence.

The system can be configured with Frankfurt heads for marble or Fickert heads for granite, depending on the customer's production requirements.

The major feature distinguishing the HLDM-1800F is its automatic head exchange function.

The machine has five storage positions for polishing heads. During production, the required head can be selected automatically according to the programmed processing sequence.

This reduces the need for manual head replacement when multiple polishing stages are required and makes the machine more suitable for workshops processing different grades of abrasives.

Different stages of stone surface finishing require different abrasives. With five available storage positions, the HLDM-1800F can accommodate a range of polishing heads for sequential processing.

This configuration is especially useful when a workshop wants to reduce manual intervention while maintaining flexibility between different processing stages.

The machine can be configured around:

Frankfurt heads → Marble processing

or

Fickert heads → Granite processing

The appropriate configuration can therefore be selected according to the material and production process.

The polishing head exchange system is combined with the HLDM platform's twin cross-beam structure.

The polishing head runs on the two cross beams, providing stable support during X/Y movement. This helps maintain consistent head movement when processing large stone surfaces.

The HLDM-1800F uses a Mitsubishi PLC controller for machine operation and processing control.

Together with automatic head exchange, PLC control allows the operator to manage a programmed polishing sequence with less manual intervention.

The machine can process stone up to 3200 × 3200 × 60 mm.

Its working platform is 3200 × 2000 mm and can tilt from 0° to 85°. The X-axis feeding speed reaches 5300 mm/min, while the Y-axis feeding speed reaches 4000 mm/min.

The HLDM-1800F is designed for workshops that need more than basic single-head polishing. It is particularly suitable when the production process involves:
